One way in which Soli Deo Gloria seeks to fulfill its mission of "enhancing, promoting and preserving the classical sacred music repertoire" is through sponsorship of recordings of sacred music. Our recordings began with the sponsorship of the recording of the North American premiere of Henryk Górecki's a cappella choral work Miserere and continues today in The Soli Deo Gloria Collection of sacred masterworks on DVD.

Conductor John Nelson, SDG’s Artistic Director, refers to the St. Matthew Passion as his “island piece,” regarding it as “the greatest of the greatest…the crème de la crème, the very high point of Western classical music.”
