Gala to benefit The Anita Nelson Fund

SDG is holding its Second Annual Fall Gala on Saturday evening November 21, 2015, at the beautiful Cliff Dwellers on Michigan Avenue in Chicago. Sitting high above the city in a 22nd floor penthouse, the restaurant has jaw-dropping views of the lakefront, overlooking Millennium Park and the Art Institute of Chicago.  A perfect venue for an SDG gala!

The Chicago Bach Project, hailed by the Chicago Tribune as one of “the highlights of the classical music season,” returns on MARCH 11, 2016, for its sixth annual presentation of Bach’s sacred choral-orchestral masterworks. The 2016 concert features Bach’s great Mass in B Minor, considered by many the greatest composition in Western classical music.

The SDG Psalms Project has been happening around the world, in concert halls and houses of worship, for three years. The next phase is the early 2016 release of new CD entitled Psallite, which will include 5 of the 15 Psalms Project commissions. Recorded by Cor Cantiamo, conducted by Eric A. Johnson.

Soli Deo Gloria is pleased to be a sponsor of two Sarajevo Philharmonic performances of the SDG-commissioned piano concerto Lumen de Lumine by Jacob Bancks, directed by Chicago-based conductor Nyela Basney, with pianist Daniel Paul Horn, Professor of Piano and Chair of Keyboard Studies at Wheaton College Conservatory of Music.
